                                                             Natural Wood Sculptures

Natural wood sculptures are created from nature but cloaked and hidden from amateur discovery.  Wood in its "Natural" state that we find is not appealing to view.  The work and efforts to transform it into "ART" is significant. 

There is a multitude of layers to bring these wood pieces back to what I call furniture grade art. 

Most furniture made today is starting with man made woods already such as milled hardwoods and hardwood skinned plywood.  Where we start from is by far more crude and raw.  Beginning from wood's natural state in this example, more steps are taken to achieve a furniture grade ending.

I have a strong background working with wood and can recognize tool requirements, grain patterns for proper tool selection, maintaining natural shapes and so forth.  Hand crafting is quite difficult and time consuming.  Going with what nature gives you is by no means something that I will take credit for but something that I find fulfilling and returning the woods beauty.

Wood Gears

The name "Wood Gears" is derived from the branch end cut offs and that the wood between resembles pulleys from gear to gear.  This can be mounted on the wall, stood on end or other means for display.  Wood Gears is 72 inches long. Heavy texture and character and has a beautiful golden hue.

The love of wood is greatly from the beauty nature gives us. She is truly magnificent!  If you love wood, it can inspire you, guide you and take you in directions you may never find had it not been presented upon you.  Get out there in the elements and feel the power and love nature rolls down on your head, over your shoulder and whisks through your body all the way down to your toes.

RePurposed Wooden Propellers

This rendered image is a great example of how Wood Sculptures can be incorporated with an old classic prop plane. The wood is over 7 feet tall and the 4 propellers each around 48 inches long.  Having some fun here.

Gorgeous Wood Hat Holder

Want an authentic Natural Wood Hat Holder?  Well this is it!  Stands 6 feet tall, has a gloss shine and a very sturdy metal base. "Hat" not included. This would fit well in your lodge or cabin by your front entry.   

Giant Dinosaur Tooth

The Term "River Tooth" has been said to describe this natural wood sculpture.  The picture here does NO justice to its actual size.  This measures 44 inches wide (as seen). Quite large! I thought it was more like a dinosaur tooth or something more exciting. The stone base is a hefty weight to stabilize its large width.

Very Rare Wood Dinosaur Found

This stands tall at just over 6 feet tall. The whole length of this is 8 feet.  The stand is made of forged metal and is heavy.  The Dinosaur is bolted to the stand.  Very very different shape and size.  Could be used as a statement piece in a commercial space, or a rustic destination and even perhaps a big lodge.
